- inspected vehicle found transfer case assembly to be broken in multiple pieces encoder motor broken front drive shaft rubbed through wire harness and damaged multiple wires front drive shaft damaged at double cardone u joint rear drive shaft damaged at yolk where yoke contacted flange and damaged u joint caps brackets recommend replace transfer case ,front drive shaft assembly and rear drive shaft assembly and re check transmission for damage , replaced drive shafts and transfer case assembly confirmed transmission fluid level at proper spec found transmission to hunt /slip /flare out of 3rd gear tested power and ground at transmission test okay ohm tested all solenoids checked ok 4.0 ohms internal transmission failure with intermediate clutch or direct clutch , recommend to transmission shop for further tear down inspection of transmission or replacement of transmission unit
