- scanned for diagnostic trouble codes no codes found at this time road tested and monitored scan tool data vehicle shuddering when torque converter locks up and jerks under load like a misfire but vehicle is not misfiring , coming from transmission checked transmission fluid, fluid at proper level and condition is poor fluid is black in color took a sample of transmission fluid has metal mixed in fluid from internal transmission fault recommend replace transmission and flush cooler and lines left front control arm bushings separated allowing forward and backward movement right front control arm bushings cracking and starting to separate both lower ball joints have slight amount of play recommend replace both front lower control arm assemblies and alignment customer declined recommended repairs at this time
