- scanned system for trouble codes p1604 start ability malfunction performed cylinder compression test found cylinder 1 to be 80 psi cylinder 2 90 psi cylinder 3 35 psi and cylinder 4 75 psi min compression in each cylinder is 157psi maximum is 199 psi recommend remove valve cover gasket and perform cylinder leak down test
- VALVE COVER remove and inspect
- removed valve cover performed cylinder leak down found cylinder 1 to be 80% leakage ,cylinder2 to be 65%leakage cylinder3 to be 95% leakage and cylinder4 to be 85% leakage recommend further tear down and inspection or engine replacement customer chose engine replacement replaced engine and necessary components and rechecked engine operating as designed at this time used engine has 24 month or 24000 mile whichever comes first ,warranty on parts and labor for engine and replaced parts
- LONG BLOCK – Remove & Replace – Automatic Trans – [Includes: R&I Subframe. DOES NOT include wheel alignment. Includes: Initialization.] – [Consists of a Cylinder Block fitted with Pistons, Rings, Connecting Rods, Crankshaft and all Bearings, Cylinder Head
